David Silipigno, founder of the David B. Silipigno Foundation from Saratoga County is known for his humanitarian deeds and charity. His foundation works for the upliftment of poor and needy children and offers them emotional and social support. This foundation ensures the well being of at-risk children in and around the areas of Saratoga Springs. Besides working for such children, this foundation also provides constant financial support to many charitable trusts which are working for this noble cause. Some of such trusts include Arthritis Foundation, Saratoga Center for Family, Catholic Charities, Mental Health Foundation, YMCA of Saratoga and many others.
David Silipigno completed his studies from Shenendehowa High School and Albany University and started working as an entrepreneur at the age of nineteen. By the time he reached at his mid 20's he had more than 600 employees working for him. His first business venture was National Finance Corp. (NFC) which created vast employment opportunities among the youth of Saratoga County. He is the founder and/or consultant of five business areas which are First Guarantee Mortgage, Saratoga Venture Capital, The Principal Commercial, Industry Partners Title and Saratoga Studios and was also the executive producer of the movie "The Skeptic" which released on May 1st, 2009. This movie was directed by Tennyson Bardwell and received great reviews because of its perfect combination of horror and thriller.
David Silipigno has been honored several times for his contribution towards the welfare of the society. He was awarded with "The Spirit of Service" on March 7, 2009 by John and Christine Colley who previously chaired The Arthritis Foundation of NENY.
