David Silipigno, the founder and president of The David B. Silipigno Foundation is known for his charitable deeds. This philanthropist from Saratoga County has funded various charitable events. For his excellent services to the society, he has even received award from The Arthritis Foundation of NENY. This foundation presented him with In the Spirit of Service Award.

David Silipigno has helped in bringing a change in the lives of thousands of underprivileged children in Saratoga County and its outlying areas. Silipigno strongly believes that it is the responsibility of the successful people to help the needy so that society can become a better place to live in. He and his staff have contributed to many charitable institutions. Some of the popular events that David Silipigno has funded include PAWS For A Cause, The FUTURES Tour, LARKfest, Albany Tulip Festival, The Northeast Family Chocolate Festival and many more.

He has also helped in raising money for the Albany Police and Firefighters Foundation (APFF). PAWS For A Cause is a two-day event which is attended by vendors, exhibits, and numerous pet and animal experts who are recognized both regionally and nationally. These experts give presentations on topics related to animals and animal care. Silipigno believes that animals play an important role in our lives so he happily sponsored this event.

Not only this, David Silipigno also helped in renovation of the "Pan" and "Maenads" Italian Garden Statues in Congress. He has also a facility named after him in the Albany Academy for Girls. He had donated $775,000 which is the largest amount this academy got in form of donation in its 190 years of existence.
